Recently, Tsinghua University announced the results of the 2023 Continuing Education Outstanding Project Awards. The “Energy Internet Industry Leadership Program (Phase 3)” won first prize for its cutting-edge course design and outstanding teaching outcomes. This honor highlights the program’s influence in the energy industry and reflects Tsinghua University’s excellence in continuing education.
The “Energy Internet Industry Leadership Program” is a joint executive education initiative launched by the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA) and the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University. The program aims to cultivate leadership talents who deeply understand the energy industry and drive innovation within the sector. Since its launch in 2018, the program has successfully held multiple sessions, with Phase 3 starting in December 2021 and graduating in October 2023. Although the course schedule was adjusted due to the pandemic, the program maintained its high teaching standards.
Through interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation at Tsinghua University, the program utilized the strengths of both departments. Participants received systematic training covering modules such as trend analysis and policy focus, industry panoramas and leadership case studies, leadership and strategic thinking in new circumstances, innovation and transformation breakthroughs, and global practice mobile classrooms. The program invited many academicians, industry experts, and renowned scholars to teach. With its rich, forward-looking curriculum, the program provided participants with invaluable academic and practical experience. Participants not only gained a deep understanding of new technologies and development trends in the energy internet field but also made significant achievements in corporate transformation, identifying opportunities, and sourcing resources. Particularly under the “dual carbon” goals, the program’s forward-looking approach has provided clear direction for the future development of energy enterprises.
Winning the first prize in the 2023 Continuing Education Outstanding Project Award of Tsinghua University is a significant recognition of the high-level instruction from both departments and the hard work of the project team. It also reflects Tsinghua University’s dual-first-class status in continuing education and its sense of responsibility in serving the nation and society's development.
